What personal identification is required to cross the border?
The documentation requirements have not changed for crossing the border into Canada. After June 1, 2009, the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires U.S. and Canadian travelers to present a passport or other document that denotes identity and citizenship when entering the U.S. For current information please review their web site (http://www.getyouhome.gov).
